Unlike traditional stove saunas that heat ambient air, infrared technology warms your body directly to deliver a gentler, deeply comfortable session that is easier to enjoy for longer.
Engineered with Complete Heat technology and Full-Spectrum Ruby Quartz heaters, each unit combines complete multi-wavelength heat coverage with hand-selected Canadian Hemlock craftsmanship. Backed by market-leading warranties, highly rated UK customer care, and guaranteed long-term spare parts – All from Vidalux, UK’s most Trusted sauna brand by all the major retailers
Most infrared saunas on the market deliver far infrared only, usually from carbon wall panels alone. That gives you gentle warmth, but only one part of the infrared spectrum. Full spectrum saunas deliver all three wavelengths (near, mid and far) in every session. Our Complete Heat technology builds this into the Solara, Premier and Platinum ranges, pairing Carbon Fibre Ruby Quartz Glass full spectrum heaters with wide-coverage carbon panels.
Near infrared: bright, intense radiant warmth from the full spectrum heaters, felt quickly on the skin.
Mid infrared: a deeper, soothing heat that helps ease tired muscles.
Far infrared: gentle, even warmth from the carbon panels that raises your body temperature for a deep, relaxing sweat.
The result is faster heat-up, stronger warmth throughout the cabin, and a far more complete session than a far-infrared-only sauna can offer.
Most infrared saunas rely on a single heater type. Carbon panels alone give gentle, even warmth but are slow to heat up and can feel mild. Heater-only designs are quick and intense but leave hot spots and cooler corners. Complete Heat combines both, so you don’t have to compromise. You have the best of both worlds, and our development ensures none of the disadvantages
Ruby Quartz Glass heaters sit directly where you sit, delivering powerful infrared you feel within moments and bringing the cabin up to temperature much faster.
Nano-carbon wall panels surround you with wide, even warmth, removing cold spots and keeping the heat consistent from the start of your session to the end.
The result is less waiting, warmth that reaches you from every side, and a session that feels intense where it matters and comfortable everywhere else. It’s standard across our Solara, Premier and Platinum ranges.
Every Vidalux sauna shares the same core: Canadian Hemlock, Complete Heat full-spectrum infrared, chromotherapy lighting, Bluetooth, an oxygen ioniser and tool-free assembly. The difference is style and heater layout.
Solara: classic wood finish with external downlights. Ideal for first-time buyers and anyone who wants traditional sauna style.
Premier: minimalist design with an outer LED lighting strip, plus extra front-facing ceramic heaters for added warmth. Ideal for regular users wanting a modern, spa-like feel.
Platinum: same heater layout as the Solara, finished with bold black accents. Ideal if you want your sauna to be a statement piece.
Sizing & Space
Our infrared saunas run from compact 1 person cabins up to a 4-5 person bench model, and most stand around 1900mm tall, so they fit comfortably in a standard room with no special ceiling height. Allow 50 to 60cm of clear space in front of the door, which opens outward, and 10 to 15cm above the roof for assembly and cable access. Once built, the cabin can sit flush against a wall. Corner models make the most of an unused corner in a spare room, home gym or garage. Check the exact dimensions on each product page before you buy.
Infrared warms your body directly rather than heating the air, so the cabin runs at a lower temperature and the heat feels gentler.
That makes longer, more relaxed sessions easy to enjoy, even for sauna newcomers. Most infrared models also plug into a standard socket, heat up faster and cost less to run than a traditional stove sauna.
If you prefer intense heat and the ritual of pouring water on hot stones, see our Finnish Saunas. If you want both, a Hybrid gives you infrared and a traditional stove in one cabin.
Vidalux was the first UK sauna company to offer full-spectrum infrared as standard, and we developed our Complete Heat technology from the ground up. Every sauna is designed and refined to our own specification rather than picked from a factory catalogue, and full spectrum comes as standard, never as a paid upgrade.
Built to last: sustainably sourced Canadian Hemlock, backed by a warranty of up to 5 years.
Easy to install: delivered flat-pack with fast, tool-free assembly.
UK-based support: stock held in our UK warehouses, advice from a team that knows every model
Proven by customers: Highly rated and chosen by more major outlets than any other brand
No, because you won’t need it.
Our smaller cabins go together in around 10 minutes, and larger models take only slightly longer. The main build needs no tools at all, and some models use fewer than four screws in total, including two for the door handle. Paying an installer to travel out for a 10-minute job would cost you far more than it’s worth, and many companies that do charge for installation are charging only for the travel. Watch our installation videos to see just how easy it is.
Most of our models are ‘plug and play’ and plug directly into a 3-pin socket. These are all models under 3000W, and these arrive with a factory-fitted power cable, so you just plug in and switch on.
The lead is typically 2m from the roof-mounted electrical box, and it can be extended from the box if your socket is further away.
The only exceptions are the Solara 4-Person, the Premier 4-Person, and the Solara 4- to 5 Person Bench saunas, which require hardwiring. Each product page lists the exact power requirements, so check before you buy and contact us if you are unsure
Can I Install It On Carpet?
Yes. The floor sits raised and enclosed inside the cabin, so heat doesn’t reach the floor beneath it, and a carpeted bedroom or spare room is perfectly suitable. You just need a smooth, level floor that can take the cabin’s weight.
Free standard delivery to mainland UK is included in the price and takes 5 to 7 working days. Our dispatch team will contact you to agree a delivery day that suits you.
Need it sooner?
Express and next day delivery are available at checkout. Your sauna ships from our UK warehouse on a tracked pallet service, flat-packed in securely wrapped boxes sized to fit through standard doorways.
Our infrared saunas reach up to 65°C, lower than a traditional sauna. Because infrared warms you directly, it feels comfortably intense at that temperature, and you’ll start to sweat well before the cabin reaches its maximum. Most people sauna around 55°C
The Ruby Quartz Glass heaters in our Complete Heat models give you warmth you can feel within minutes, and the cabin is typically ready in mere minutes.
Most people enjoy sessions of 15 to 25 minutes, and many use their sauna several times a week as part of their routine. If you’re new to saunas, start with shorter sessions at a lower temperature and build up as you get used to the heat.
Drink plenty of water before and after. If you’re pregnant, have a medical condition or take regular medication, check with your GP before using any sauna.
Yes. The infrared used in saunas is a natural form of heat. It’s the same warmth you feel from the sun, without the UV. Our heaters are designed for low EMF output and non-toxic wood.
Every cabin is built with a timer and temperature controls, and the heaters sit behind protective guards so they can’t be touched during use. As with any sauna, follow the usage guidance in your manual and check with your GP first if you have a medical condition.
Our indoor saunas are designed for indoor use, but many customers install them in fully enclosed, sheltered spaces such as summerhouses, garages and enclosed garden rooms.
There are three things to consider. The electrics in the roof aren’t weatherproofed. The timber isn’t treated for rain or extreme cold and a cold room or draughts will slow heat-up and reduce performance. Any issues arising from an outdoor installation aren’t covered by the warranty. If you want a sauna built specifically for outside, see our Outdoor Saunas range
Less than you might think.
Multiply your sauna’s wattage by your electricity rate. At around 25p per kWh, the 2-person full-spectrum infrared sauna (2300W) costs a maximum of 57p an hour, and a larger 4-person (2800W) just 70p. (Real costs are lower, because the heaters cycle off once the cabin reaches temperature)
Three one-hour sessions a week come to under £7 a month in a 2-person model.
Compare that with a £60 gym membership plus the drive: a 3 to 5 mile trip each way adds roughly £14 to £20 a month in fuel (more than twice the cost of running your saunas), and that’s before your travel time. See how running costs are calculated

This is the second Vidalux cabin I have purchased. This one is an electric shower, right hand in black. It looks magnificent in my newly refurbished bathroom. The cabin has reduced the amount of re-tiling required significantly. Relatively easy to install.Posted on GoogleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Vidalux SS80 NO ELECTRICS free standing shower cabin, purchased June 26. This is the second purchase I have made of a shower cabin from Vidalux, from selection on the website to purchase everything was so easy, once the purchase was completed the confirmation support was excellent. I was emailed regarding a suitable delivery date of my choice and when I had chosen a date I was given a window time for delivery. All in all the selection, purchase and delivery date couldn’t have gone any smoother. As with a previous purchase from Vidalux all components of the shower cabin were packaged for protection and once delivered it had everything required to build a complete shower cabin, as very precise instructions were included I had no problem in completing the self assembly my self, not a problem if your handy the instructions and videos on the Vidalux website are there to assist you if you’re struggling. However if your not into DIY then you need to bring in someone who is capable of being able to assemble the unit whether they be professional or otherwise, certainly don’t try to assemble it yourself because you may regret it. All in all I’m very satisfied with my second purchase from Vidalux and would definitely recommend them if your thinking of buying from them, quality units at very competitive prices.Posted on GoogleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Purchased a Vidalux RT79 as we needed a shower in a very small bathroom. I chose this for its leak free promise and I can see from the construction that it is unlikely that leaks will be a problem. The parts were good quality and fitted together without too much difficulty, that said, the instructions could have been a bit clearer especially for the plumbing connections. A manufacturing defect on the tray was swiftly and easily resolved by the customer service sending out a replacement. The pod is small enough to fit where the bath was and unfortunately the shelf inside is just where I would bump my head on it, so that is removed. The rain head is very effective and handset works well although the body jets were not to my liking. It look smart in the refurbished bathroom.Posted on GoogleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
