Buyers Guide

A Pure Electric cabin is the simplest way to add a complete, leak-free shower to almost any room.

It runs from a single cold water feed with a built-in electric shower on the central column, so there’s no boiler, hot water tank or mixer valve to plumb in. Because the cabin is fully self-contained, it can stand directly against an untiled wall, saving the cost, mess and time of tiling. It’s ideal for bathrooms, en suites, garden rooms and anywhere a traditional shower would mean a major refit.

An electric shower heats water instantly as you use it, so you get hot water on demand, even when the boiler is off or the tank has run dry. That makes it ideal for homes with gravity-fed systems or weak hot water pressure, and for extensions or outbuildings where running a hot water supply would be expensive.

You only heat the water you use, and the cabin is ready whenever you are. Choose the 8.5kW shower for the most economical option, or 9.5kW for a stronger flow.

Choose from 800 x 800mm, 900 x 900mm and 1000 x 1000mm square cabins, or a 1200 x 800mm rectangular model in left- or right-hand versions, all 2150mm tall.

Every size comes in Pure Black or Pure Crystal White glass, with a choice of standard or upgraded Luxury electric shower. A flip-down seat or a wood-effect stool can be added to any size. The stool looks like wood but is made from robust plastic that won’t splinter or rot

Start with your space. The 800 and 900 square models suit en suites and smaller bathrooms, while the 1000 and 1200 give you more room and can neatly cover the marks left by an old shower or bath.

On the 1200 offset quadrant models, choose left or right-hand based on where your water and electrical supplies come in or the corner of the bathroom you’re working with. Then pick your glass finish and shower power, and add a seat if anyone in your home would benefit from one

Most shower enclosures rely on silicone and tiling to keep water in, and both fail over time. Pure Electric cabins use our Leak-Seal design instead: a compression-sealed cabin with return channels in the tray that direct any stray water back inside, so there’s no silicone on show and no mouldy seals to replace.

Each cabin is built on a reinforced acrylic tray over a steel frame with adjustable feet for a solid, stable feel. Quick-release door wheels make cleaning easy, and controls and shelves sit high on the column, out of reach of small children.

Every cabin is backed by a 2-year warranty, and the electric showers themselves are backed in partnership with Trition ensuring a continuous supply of spare parts, even after the warranty ends

FAQ’s

The built-in electric shower needs its own dedicated circuit from your consumer unit, installed by a qualified electrician, just like any standard electric shower.

An 8.5kW shower typically needs a 40A circuit, and a 9.5kW shower a 45A circuit, with cable sized to suit the run. If you’re replacing an existing electric shower, your current circuit may already be suitable, so ask your electrician to check.

Installing a new circuit in a bathroom is notifiable work under Part P, so use a registered electrician.

Yes. That’s one of the main reasons customers choose this range. The cabin only needs a cold mains water supply, and the electric shower heats it instantly, so it works regardless of your boiler, hot water tank or hot water pressure.

It’s a popular choice for homes with gravity-fed systems, where mixer showers are often weak, and for garden rooms and annexes without hot water. Check the minimum mains pressure on the product page before ordering.

No. The cabin is fully self-contained, with glass and panels on every side, so water stays inside it rather than running down your walls. You can install it directly in front of a plain or untiled wall, covering the mess and saving the cost of tiles, adhesive and a tiler. It’s also a practical way to cover damaged walls or tiling left behind by an old shower, with no risks of leaks hidden inside a wall

Yes. Even the smallest 800 x 800mm cabin has room for seating, with a choice of a fold-down seat or a freestanding wood-effect stool, both designed to stay safe and stable in the wet.

The controls sit at a comfortable height on the central column, and the enclosed design gives a more secure, private feel than an over-bath shower. For wheelchair users or anyone who needs level access, speak to our team before ordering

We don’t install, but most customers find the cabin straightforward to assemble with basic DIY skills, and any local plumber or handyman can fit it affordably.

Because there’s no tiling and only a single cold water connection, it’s a much quicker job than a traditional shower installation. Watch our installation videos to see what’s involved
